Recombinant Fc-hHx inhibits TNF production synergistically induced by LPS and hemin. Mouse BMDMs were incubated with LPS (2 ng/mL) only or with hemin (1 µmol/L) in serum-free medium (SFM) for 9 h in the absence or presence of 1.67 µmol/L of one of the following proteins: Fc fragment of IgG1; Fc-hHx; hHx-B. TNF levels were measured in the supernatants of the culture. The results represent mean ± SE and are representative of four independent experiments. **P < 0.01, compared between cells treated with and without hemin.
