(A) qPCR validation of genes upregulated following miR-187 overexpression. PTEN and TNF are significantly increased in cells overexpressing miR-187 when compared with a scrambled vector control (miR-VC). (B) qPCR validation of genes downregulated following miR-187 overexpression. C3, CXCL10, CFB, TRANK1, APOL2, OAS1, IL28A/B/C and IFNβ1 were significantly downregulated in cells overexpressing miR-187 when compared with a scrambled control. Data are presented as the mean ± SEM from five independent experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using the one sample t test; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ns not significant.
