mRNA levels of inflammasome-related genes in PBMC of male and female AAA patients (M-AAA, F-AAA) versus non-AAA patients (M-control, F-control). Relative mRNA level of AIM2 (A), NLRP3 (B), ASC (C), CASP1 (D), CASP5 (E) and IL 1B (F) in PBMC from vascular patients was analyzed by qPCR. CT values were calculated by using individual standard curves and normalized to the mean CT values of three reference genes (GAPDH, B2M, ACTB). P values are derived from Wilcoxon signed rank test.
