Detection of tau45-230 aggregates in ALS spinal cord samples. Homogenates of lumbar spinal cord samples obtained from ALS subjects were analyzed by means of native/nondenaturing PAGE followed by Western blot. Membranes were reacted with a nonphosphorylation-dependent tau antibody (clone tau5) and stripped and reprobed with a tau45-230 specific antibody. Two tau45-230 immunoreactive bands were detected in ALS samples.
