Immunofluorescence microscopy analysis of A1AT-0 and A1AT-LA interaction with neutrophils. Neutrophils were incubated alone as controls for 5 min at 37°C (A), or with either A1AT-0 or A1AT-LA for 5 min at 4°C (B), or for 5 min and 1 h at 37°C (C). Cells were stained with anti-A1AT antibody (green) and DAPI (blue). Arrows point to the larger A1AT-reactive granules formed upon A1AT-0 treatment as compared with those of A1AT-LA (arrowheads). Images were acquired using Olympus FluorView 1000 scanning confocal microscope equipped with a 60 × oil immersion objective. Scale bar: 10 µm.
